I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead criticized former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Opponent

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
